Dryer Repair
The compressor is a complex multi-component system. Each of its elements is critically important for the correct operation of the whole mechanism. So, it would seem that the air dryer is not the main part. In fact, it is not involved in the direct work of the compressor, and that means it does not bring "real benefit." But this is not the case. The air drying system itself makes the work of the whole compressor useful, and also ensures its durability and reliability.
The thing is that the compressor constantly "trains" air from the surrounding environment. Of course, the air contains small dispersed particles of dust, different gases and, of course, water. The latter is the most dangerous for any system. When water penetrates the internal elements of the structure, the washing of the fiber and the probability of corrosion is increased. To minimize these risks, the compressors use special dryers of compressed air.
Drying is two main types:
Adsorbent type;
The refrigerant type.
The latter is considered more reliable, long-lasting and less sound. As a result, they are most often used on manufacturing devices that are stable-installed. However, adsorbent type dryers are much easier to use and repair, as well as less flexible. This type of drying of compressed air is often used in cheaper models or in those that periodically need to move.
Depending on the type of dryer, the variety and repair or service. As mentioned above, adsorbent dryers require less attention. But this does not mean that they should be treated without the attention they are careful. Repair at the stage of "to failure" is mainly in the timely replacement of the adsorbent, as well as cleaning of pipes and filters.
The cooling type dryers are much more powerful. The drying in them occurs in two stages. On each of them the compressed air is cooled to the necessary temperature by special system as well as chemicals. When repair or planned check, a complete diagnosis of the entire way that passes the air is carried out. Even if the problems are not detected here and now, then periodically (the time indicated by the manufacturer in the accompanying documentation) it is necessary to change the chemicals and even the whole parts of the pipes through which the air moves - these parts of the dryer suffer from the most corrosion.
Immediately performed diagnosis and preventive repairs can lead not only to the movement of compressed air with critical humidity, but also to terrible failures of the entire system.
